Open Source RVA presents:

FIELDS, STREAMS & COLLECTIVE BARGAINING! On Friday’s edition of Open Source RVA, heard at noon on WRIR 97.3, it’s time to play some games while saving the earth. The Capital Region Land Conservancy’s third annual The Conservation Games will start today and run through Oct. 16th. Parker C. Agelasto, the executive director of the Conservancy, joins host Don Harrison to talk about the games, and about the important conservation work the CRLC does. We also welcome Christine Melendez and Todd Starkweather from the Chesterfield Education Association.  Richmond’s school teachers led a successful effort last year for collective bargaining rights, now some Chesterfield educators and school employees want collective bargaining too. Among other things, we’ll talk about why they think these rights are important not only for the teachers, but the students. IT’S YOUR COMMUNITY SOURCE!! Friday noon on WRIR 97.3 FM and wrir.org.
