Meta & The Cornerstones (pictured above in Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios) is a reggae band from Brooklyn with a multinational lineup bringing global elements into their sound: jazz, rock, flamenco, West Africa and the Koran all factor in.

Their third album, Hira, is my favorite reggae release so far this year, and number two isn’t even close.  Find out why when I play two tracks from Hira on this week’s program.
