The Church of the Ecstatic presents:
Playing music from people currently under 25 years old, the new generation of teens and young adults making music. I am woefully not-well-versed in what’s been happening with THE KIDS, and so I decided to stumble into things head first.
As I approach my 31st birthday, (I know, not that old, BUT) I’ve been marveling that there are now adults that have never lived in a world pre-2000. They’ve been growing up in a vastly different technological world than I grew up in, with different nostalgia, memories, cultural norms, and historical landmarks. It’s weird seeing how so much has changed in the past 20 years, and I wonder how it’s shaped the young people in it. Because they’ve been making great art, defying categorization and boundaries.
Y’all give me hope.
