On Friday’s lively edition of Open Source RVA, heard at noon on WRIR 97.3 FM, it’s all about Richmond’s creative spaces as Don Harrison talks about the recent sale of Dogtown Dance Theatre with Ashley Hawkins and Kate Fowler of Studio Two Three. The arts co-op and printmaking studio recently purchased the Dogtown building and has big plans to move. But won’t they miss Scott’s Addition? Dina Weinstein also speaks with LaWanda Raines, the former program director of Dogtown, about the potential impacts of the theatre’s absence as a dance venue. THERE’S MORE!! We also welcome rapper and entrepreneur Will Keck, better known as OG ILLA, who is hosting a grand opening of his new creative “safe space” for hip-hoppers, CNTR, on Friday as part of First Fridays.
