If Music Could Talk – April 2, 2023 – Interview with Jan Hagenkötter of Saigon Supersound
Tune in at 7pm for a special interview with Jan Hagenkötter, curator and producer of the three volume “Saigon Supersound” series which compiles Vietnamese music from the 60s and 70s.. we’ll talk about the music, the backstory behind this project, the obstacles he faced in creating these compilations, and some other inspiring commentary.
These compilations were carefully compiled, researched, and laboriously remastered from original vinyl 7″ EPs and Reel to Reel tapes, as a labor of love for the music and culture, and a desire to try to preserve this music and pass it on to future generations.
