Cause and Effect presents:

Samaz0n Prime presents Journey Through The Crates: Cause And Effect Edition

The Mizell Brothers, Fonce and Larry (and later Rod), were powerhouse music producers and writers in the 1970s.  The brothers from Harlem attended Howard University in Washington DC, and Larry worked as an Engineer on the NASA Apollo program before their music careers really took off.  From “The Corporation” at Motown to their own production outfit, Sky High Productions, the Mizells were responsible for some of the funkiest jazz and soul music of the 70s.  I hope you enjoy this mix show featuring some of my favorite Mizell Brothers tunes, as well as some of the dopest hip hop sampling their work in the last 1/4 of the show, all played from my personal vinyl crates.
