Dr. Ashley Slaughter is a general surgeon in Richmond, Virginia. She received her medical degree from University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, completed her residency in surgery at VCU Health System, and a fellowship in surgical critical care at MedStar Health at Washington Hospital Center. She is certified in Surgery and Surgical Critical Care through the American Board of Surgery. She has been in practice for 10 years. She has published the following studies:

Katherine is part of the National Network of Abortion Funds Movement Makers Cohort of 2023 and has worked in maternal health, reproductive rights, and abortion access since 2020. She was a former intern in the office of Congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez (AOC). She has studied sociology and anthropology at Centre College. She tirelessly advocates for reproductive rights and access to healthcare for women everywhere.
