Election 2016 on WRIR

Election night can’t come fast enough, right? Why not mute the TV and tune in to WRIR 97.3 FM for your election coverage? Our crew of dedicated volunteers who produce Open Source RVA and other WRIR news talk programs will be in Studio B broadcasting breaking news on the city’s turbulent elections for mayor and other local elections. Over in Studio A, our music DJs will cue up great music to get you dancing through the night. This is another example of WRIR going above and beyond conventional broadcasting and reminding us of the value of having an independent media in our city. Thanks to Don, Krysti, Cameron, Richard, Carol, Sammy and all the volunteers who dedicated countless hours interviewing the candidates and covering the candidate forums held throughout the city.
