The 20th annual Great Richmond , VA. Pow-Wow invites the public to join us at this joyous celebration. The event will be held at The Showplace, which is located at . Pow-Wow and Show will be held on November 12-14, 2010 in
This pow-wow is an opportunity for the public to interact with over 300 American Indian dancers, singers, drummers, artists, and crafts persons. Also, this event is an attempt by Pow-Wow to educate the public about American Indians, past and present, through the arts. Over $15,000 will be offered in dance and drum prizes (we have at least two specials scheduled already), which will attract more than 300 dancers in full regalia from throughout the United States and Canada. At least Seven drums are expected. Send e-mail for dance/drum prize info.
Gates open at 9:00AM on Friday, November 12th for a cultural exchange for area schools. Native American Cultural Exchange programs allow teachers, students, and others to interact with our population. The public is welcome also. The cultural exchange will conclude at 2:00PM. Grand entry is 6PM on Friday.
