Cause and Effect presents:
Hey Listeners,
Haberdasher here with Todd Ranson the host of WDCE’s Loblolly Pine Show. We’re excited to do a Mardi Gras-themed Cause and Effect today. Fat Tuesday is next week which makes today’s topic perfect. Todd and I will be taking a look at the influences of Mardi Gras Indians on New Orleans culture, music, and the Mardi Gras season in general. Specifically we will be delving into The Wild Tchoupitoulas self-titled 1976 recording and discussiing the roots of that record being made and the long term impact that recording had on New Orleans – it’s music, tourism, and culture.
