Time Again Radio Show presents:

As we near the end of Black History month, a gentle reminder to any who hadn’t heard somewhere down the line or perhaps aren’t regular listeners of the show… that the larger scope of American vernacular expression and musical tradition are in part, if not moreover due to the direct contributions of African American people throughout our entire history as a nation.
This message will stick eventually. In the meantime, enjoy the show!

The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit/Nighttime Maneuvers presents:

Hey Listeners,

Tonight it’s an all new release show – with a few exceptions. However everything on tonight’s list is new to my library. The show is going to be a little bit of a surprise to me too. Basically I selected all the tracks with just a quick listen to the beginning of the song. Often I chose one track over another because I liked the name of the track. So unlike most of my shows which are well planned and often revolve around a theme tonight’s playlist is based on gut reaction to or my initial impression of a song.

The title of tonight’s show comes from Malcolm Gladwell’s book, Blink, which is an interesting study of decisions made on gut reactions.

Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking is Malcolm Gladwell’s second book. It presents in popular science format research from psychology and behavioral economics on the adaptive unconscious: mental processes that work rapidly and automatically from relatively little information.

Enjoy!
