Even though I’m an intergalactic woman of mystery, I still occasionally need to use earthly transportation systems. This has been a bad week for me with regard to these systems.

So in honor of this week’s trials and tribulations, I present to you: THIS SHOW. Songs about cars, driving, motorcycles, and walking. Tune in for music by Satellite High, Hot Lips Page, Papercuts, The Zircons, Nancy, The Waitresses, The Raveonettes, AND MUCH MORE!

Thanks for listening!

It’s been a hectic week, and I’ve got 2 hours of music for you. I can’t even remember what it all is because I planned a bunch of it LAST week. But I DO have music by Goth Babe, along with a chance to win a pair of tickets to his Friday show at The National. (I wonder if he’ll have his cute dog with him?)
Anyway, tune in and let’s find out what I’m gonna play!

Happy Thursday folks! This week’s show is inspired by #1) songs that make me think of Pee-wee Herman, and #2) songs related to pain, injury, illness, and stuff like that. That’s right, I had a lot of PAIN the last few days, but no need to worry! I’m doing better now, and you got a rocking good show out of the deal. So tune in, do some stretches, drink some water, and enjoy the show!

RIP Paul Reubens, and thanks for showing us that it’s ok to embrace our weirdness!

I don’t do anything in order to cause trouble. It just so happens that what I do naturally causes trouble. I’m proud to be a troublemaker. –Sinead O’Connor

Sinéad Marie Bernadette O’Connor; (8 December 1966 – 26 July 2023 aged 56), was an Irish singer-songwriter, artist-musician and political activist. O’Connor released 10 studio albums throughout her career. Her debut studio album, The Lion and the Cobra, was released in 1987 and charted internationally. It was considered “one of the most striking debuts of its era, synthesizing everything from rock to hip-hop to the global music-influenced atmospherics of Peter Gabriel into a style that was entirely her own.” Her second studio album, I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got (1990), became her biggest success, selling over seven million copies worldwide. Its lead single, “Nothing Compares 2 U”, was named the number-one world single in 1990 by the Billboard Music Awards. Although she was at times often steeped in controversy, it “never drowned out her astonishing songcraft…As well as being a fearless interpreter of others’ work, the late singer adapted to a seemingly endless array of styles, marking her out as a bold and utterly singular artist.” –Alex Petridis
